Sunflower and Butterfly

Sunflower and Butterfly

In a meadow full of flowers, butterflies with colorful wings were flying. Pink, blue, yellow, and green were the colors all the butterflies loved. Besides the Sun shining on the meadow, there were flowers making it beautiful. Whether it was warm or cold, everything in that meadow was always just right.

You can’t describe what colors they were, nor all the petals that hid their secrets there. All those flowers had their own names and dresses they wore. With different kinds of petals and colors, they were always happy about someone else’s design. Every day there were more of them, which made the meadow happy because it got the most beautiful colorful dress in all these years. In the meadow, everything was just right; everyone was friendly and enjoyed the Sun.

Once, a butterfly landed on the yellow petals, making its patterns stand out even more. It landed to rest after crossing a path of five mountains. It thought it found a perfect spot until it noticed the flower waving at it.

“Welcome to my petals!” said the flower.

The butterfly was surprised and said, “Sorry to disturb you, yellow flower. I’ve been flying all night and finally arrived where I intended to go. If you don’t mind, I’d like to settle down here.” said the butterfly in a tired voice.

“Of course, I don’t mind at all. On the contrary, I’m delighted to welcome you into my home of sunflowers.” replied the flower.

“Wooow, you’re a Sunflower.” said the butterfly in surprise.

“That is so, my name is Sunflower. If you didn’t know, I turn towards the Sun and follow it from morning till dusk; not a single ray escape me. I’m delighted to have your company; finally, you can me your home.” said the Sunflower joyfully.

Every day, Sunflower and the butterfly enjoyed each other’s company, waving to the Sun and asking it to stay longer. The Sun called out from afar, “Oh, my dear ones, what heat awaits you.”

They replied at the same time: “Let it be!”

The Sun has a lot of work to do to travel across the whole Earth, to bring joy to everyone. When a few drops of rain come, Sunflower immediately covers the butterfly so it doesn’t get wet, showing how much it cares for its friend. When a little worm tries to approach Sunflower, the butterfly defends it and commands, “Wait, we are true friends. If not me, then who will defend their friend?”

They enjoyed welcoming the Sun every morning in the east and bidding it farewell every evening in the west. Each night, they would settle in comfortably, eagerly awaiting the next morning and the new rays of the Sun, looking forward to a new adventure. They became the best of friends, cherishing and nurturing their friendship.

The End.
